The 2020 Ford Expedition is available in four main trim levels: XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum. Each of these is available with an extended body style, which Ford refers to as the Max body style. From the outside, the base model features a single exhaust, halogen projector-beam headlights and fog lights, a bright chrome front grille, black roof side rails, black running boards, and a Class IV trailer hitch receiver. Power and Performance
The base engine with the 2020 Expedition is a powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that makes 470 pound-feet of torque and 375 horsepower. With the top Platinum trim, a more powerful version of that engine comes standard. It clocks in at 480 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower. Every model features a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, although four-wheel drive is an option. The Expedition also features a best-in-class towing capacity. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 9,300 pounds. In order to reach that capacity, your Expedition will need the optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package.
Spacious Interior
When it comes to interior space, it’s tough to beat the 2020 Expedition. In fact, it boasts best-in-class legroom in the second and third rows when you choose the Max extended body style. The cabin features seating for up to eight, along with high-end features that make it more comfortable for every passenger.
