The 2020 Mustang is out, and for those who love a good muscle car, the Shelby GT 350 is right up your alley. Here’s a look at the top features on the all-new Mustang Shelby GT 350.
Engine
The GT 350 is powered by a 5.3-liter Ti-VCT V-8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft. Paired with a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission this monster gets an amazing 526 horsepower, and 429 lb-ft of torque.
A 3.73 Torsen Limited Slip Rear Differential is standard, as is a differential cooler, and dual exhaust with electronic valves and quad tips, giving the Shelby Mustang her unmistakable roar.
Performance
The Shelby GT 350 is ready to race, rolling on 19-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires mounted front and back. Six-piston Brembo brakes control the front wheels, while four-piston Brembo brakes work the rear.
The GT 350 also features an Electronic Line Lock and Launch Control systems. These systems are for track use only. The Electronic Line Lock will lock the front brakes while you have the pedal to the metal, roasting up those tires on the starting line. The Launch Control system then harnesses all the power the Shelby GT 350 has and funnels it into straight-line speed off the start.
It also comes with an integral link independent rear suspension that not only helps to limit body roll, but isolates imperfections in the road to keep you in control. The MagneRide Damping system actually monitors each tire 1,000 times per second and reacts to changing conditions for the ultimate smooth ride.
Interior
The Shelby GT 350 comes with Recaro cloth/Miko sport seats that are 4-way power-adjustable. An Alcantara leather-wrapped steering wheel gives you the grip you want. Optional leather-trimmed sport seats are also available.
Listen to your favorite music on the available B&O Sound System by Bang and Olufson with 12 speakers, CD player, High Definition radio, and a sub-woofer in the trunk.
Technology
Ford’s Sync3 system is standard. Access all your devices through the touchscreen, or hands-free with Ford’s enhanced voice recognition. Apply CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to send and receive calls, texts, access music, and more.
The available FordPass Connect system can turn your vehicle into a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. You can connect up to 10 devices at once with a range of up to 50 feet from the vehicle.
Safety
The available Safe & Smart package is a suite of driver-assist technologies designed to keep you safer on the roads. A Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking system uses advanced radar and camera technology to monitor the road ahead. When a collision is imminent the system will alert you, and can even apply brake pressure if you fail to react.
An Adaptive Cruise Control system uses the same technology to automatically slow your vehicle down when the traffic ahead slows. It automatically returns your Shelby GT 350 to its preset speed once the way ahead clears.
